Ilocos Sur--- As a part of continuing improvement of farm production, Ilocos Sur Governor Deogracias Victor “DV” B. Savellano, provides 100 sacks of organic fertilizers, 50 sacks of inorganic fertilizers, 10 water pumps and generators, to the members of Ilocos Sur Seed Growers (ISSG) last May 29 . The said affair was held at the facade of provincial capitol.

According to Gov. DV Savellano, the providing of farm supplies and equipment is one of the assistance given by the provincial government to farmers in improving their farm production to uplift their present condition in life.

“We would like to prosper the production, so that our farmers can have better lives so we offer this kind of assistance to them”, Gov. DV said.

On the other hand, Agapito Tacata, President of ISSG conveys his appreciation to Gov. DV on his initiative in helping the farmers enhance their production.

“It lessens our expense in farm supplies because of these free fertilizers”, Tacata said..

Meanwhile, Asec. Maria Bernardita Flores Executive Director of National Nutrition Council (NNC) commended the “back to basic” scheme of the Provincial Government on farm production. According to her, it’s a big aid in enhancing the development of farm production. With this, the progress of the community and the society is also within reach.
